StepGate is developed by Jules (slicycode). Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains how we handle your data.

Data We Access

StepGate accesses the following data on your device:

• HealthKit Data (Step Count): We read your step count from Apple HealthKit in read-only mode. This data stays on your device and is never transmitted to our servers or any third party.
• Screen Time API: We use Apple's Screen Time API to manage app access restrictions. All operations happen locally on your device.

Data Storage

All app data is stored locally on your device using SQLite. This includes:

• Your app blocking preferences
• Daily step goals
• App usage statistics

We do not have access to this data. It never leaves your device.

No User Accounts

StepGate does not require user accounts. There is no cloud storage of your personal data, and we cannot access any information about your usage of the app.

No Tracking or Analytics

• We do not use advertising networks or ad tracking
• We do not include third-party analytics SDKs
• We do not collect usage statistics or telemetry
• We do not track your behavior in any way

Subscription Management

StepGate uses RevenueCat to handle subscription payments and entitlements. RevenueCat may collect limited data to process your subscription. Please review RevenueCat's Privacy Policy for details.

Third-Party Data Sharing

We do not share, sell, or transmit your data to any third parties. The only exception is RevenueCat for subscription management as mentioned above.

GDPR Compliance

Since we do not collect or store any personal data on our servers, GDPR data access, deletion, and portability requests are not applicable. All your data remains on your device under your control.

Children's Privacy

StepGate is rated 9+ and suitable for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children or anyone else. All data remains on the user's device.

Your Rights

You have full control over your data:

• You can revoke HealthKit permissions at any time in iOS Settings
• You can delete all app data by deleting the StepGate app
• You can manage Screen Time permissions in iOS Settings

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the effective date at the top of this page.
